BROMYARD CHRISTMAS LANTERN INSTRUCTIONS
Bromyard Community Arts are organising ‘November Lantern Making' for the Lantern Procession part of the Bromyard Christmas Lights Switch-On
The Kit

1 x A4 pieces of heavy weight Vilene (used in sewing) for the lantern.

1 x A4 sheet of instructions
You can watch a video on how to make the lanterns (see below)
You will need
-
Decorative materials- felt-tips, sharpies, paints, glitter gel pens, shiny papers, ribbons, tissue paper, PVA glue, wrapping paper, scissors, glue brushes, paint brushes

You can use as little or as much as you like.
To make

Lay the lantern dull side up. (dull side is the front, shiny side is the back) with the wire at the top.

Leave a 2 cm border each side- this is so can be put together later.

Now draw, paint, print, collage your Christmas design on the front
(Think about your design and maybe try out some ideas on a spare piece of paper)
Wait until your lantern is dry. You can then-

Construct your lantern yourself by gently bending it round to close the 2 ends and then staple them together. Bring it along to collect a light to the Conquest Theatre on Saturday 18th Nov from 3.30 pm.

Bring your finished lantern flat, to the Conquest Theatre on Saturday 18th Nov from 3.30 pm to be put together and lit.
You will then be ready to join the lantern Procession for the
Bromyard Christmas Lights Switch-On
Line up at 5pm in the Conquest Theatre Car Park
Procession start at 5.15pm
