Lantern Making Workshops
Workshops were held in the weeks before the Bromyard Christmas Lights Light-up at St Peter’s and Brockhampton Primary Schools, Bromyard Youth Club and in the Falcon Mews. Participants came and decorated lanterns with their own colourful designs.
The Lantern Procession was a very exciting addition to the Light-up and the work of all the lantern makers was admired by the crowds.
Paints, pens, pencils, crayons, glitter and glue! Now add the creative talents of everyone who came to the workshops to these ingredients. The result? A wonderful batch of festive lanterns, each one unique!
All the lantern-makers at the workshops had a great time, and all the helpers enjoyed themselves too.
The first ever Lantern Procession at the Bromyard Christmas Light-up was a stunning spectacle. The lanterns sparkled and glowed as their bearers made their way along High Street and Broad Street, headed by the fabulous drummers. We can’t wait to do it all again this year!
