Alfred Mann
artist & teacher

Born in Scotland in 1952, I have a varied career in art and education. Settled on the Greek Islands of Aegina and Agistri in 1990, after a spell driving through Europe in a camper van. Painted and exhibited widely whilst there as well as helping to run our gallery, bars and restaurants. Returned to the UK in 2005 and after a further spell in educational settings, opened the present Community Interest Company at the Heritage Centre, Bromyard incorporating our teaching studios and gallery.

Visitors will find a wide range of approaches in my work which reflects my journey through both the traditional and quirky side of rural village life as well as my more contemporary approach to those areas that defy verbal or written description.

In my teaching studios, I am fortunate to be joined by a group of hard working and sometimes inspired colleagues and students who allow me to mentor them through their difficulties and pleasures as they create their own artistic expressions.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Heritage Centre and hearing your comments.
